Mark Lozzi, Partner
Mark is Partner of Genwealth Ventures LP, which was founded in 2011 to resolve the funding void in early stage technology companies in Canada. Mark has investment and capital markets experience.
Mark has already successfully built and sold an asset based lending business to a financial services company, exited a technology investment to Apple, and founded Genwealth in 2011. Formerly, as Vice President at a boutique investment bank in Toronto, Mark headed the venture finance division where he worked and advised start-up companies. Graduated from San Diego State University with an MBA in Entrepreneurship. Mark is the General Partner and responsible for Genwealth Ventures LP operations and investments.
Craig Wallace, Director
Craig has held numerous executive positions in leading technology companies in Canada and currently serves on the Boards of Atomic Reach and x2oMedia. Most recently, Craig led Ganz Studios, one of Canada’s largest digital media studios and the developer of the award winning Webkinz franchise.
Previously, Craig was the President and Chief Operating Officer of publicly traded Kaboose Inc. (KAB: TSX). Kaboose was sold to The Walt Disney Company and Barclay’s PLC in June 2009. Craig was also the President and Chief Executive Officer of AOL Canada, a joint venture between Time Warner Inc. and The Royal Bank of Canada. Prior to this, Craig held senior positions with a number of high-profile companies including as a General Partner of IceAngels LLP, as President and Chief Operating Officer of PCDOCS Group, a leading global document management software company, and as President and CEO of iSTAR Internet Inc., a publicly-traded internet solutions company that was acquired by PSINet Inc. (PSIX: Nasdaq) in 1997. Before joining iSTAR Craig enjoyed a seven-year tenure as a member of the Executive Management Team at Microsoft Canada.
Craig is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
Ken Nickerson, Director
Ken is the founder and CEO of iBinary LLC., a private technology research and investment firm. He is currently on the board of Kobo (eBooks). Prior to Kobo, Ken invested in and acted as CEO of OpenCola Inc., a collaborative search engine company that was acquired by OpenText Inc. Earlier in his career, Ken was CTO of The DocSpace Co. which was sold to CriticalPath Inc.
Ken also served as General Manager of the Microsoft Network in Canada, a unit of Microsoft Corp., and was responsible for all e-commerce and consumer activities in Canada. While at Microsoft, he was instrumental in Microsoft’s acquisition of Hotmail. Ken sits on several private and public boards and is actively engaged in philanthropy focused on early education needs.
